The SSE Arena (formerly known as the Odyssey Arena and Pavilion) is an entertainment and sports venue located in the Titanic Quarter.  It is also known as the home to the infamous Belfast Giants ice hockey team and is located beside the W5 interactive science museum.

The arena itself can host a substantial 11,000 people at any given time and attracts huge names within the music industry. It has often reached full capacity when entertainers such as Adele, U2 and One Direction sold out concerts.

With regards to entertainment the SSE Arena has hosted various comedy entertainers such as Lee Evans and Kevin Hart.

This year’s headliners due to perform at the SSE Arena include the world renowned Bryan Adams, Rod Stewart and Elton John which are expected to drum up huge interest.  There is also a variety of shows such as WWE NXT Live and Marvel Universal Live which could amuse the younger audience during their stay in Belfast.

For something different you could bring the family along to a Stena Line Belfast Giants ice hockey match as they play most weekends during the season. At any given time there could be up to 5,000 fans cheering on the local team at their home location.

If you wish to participate in something a little more active you can find 10 pin bowling and a games arcade close by at The Pavilion.  Also there is Northern Ireland’s largest 12 screen cinema and a choice of restaurants and bars for evening entertainment.

There are excellent means of public transport to get to the SSE Arena including Translink trains to ‘Titanic Quarter’ or frequent buses.  Alternatively the SSE Arena is just an 8 minute drive from our City Centre hotel.  There certainly is an abundance of activities available in the SSE Arena and surrounding facilities whether you are planning a trip to a concert or a family night out so why not book into Clayton Belfast and explore these facilities?
